Superwash Merino Aran has a simple construction of 2/3.5nm giving 175m (191 yds) per 100g hank. Superwash Merino Aran is made with 100% superwashed merino meaning the yarn has been specially treated before being spun to enable it to be machine washable, therefore will not ‘felt’ when washed. Therefore it is a great Hand Dyed Yarn for an easy-care garment. Soft 21 micron merino has been used in the yarn which is not itchy or scratchy next to the skin. Merino has a natural elasticity which helps a garment stretch yet return back to its original shape. It also has great insulating properties providing a thermal layer of warmth when needed.
